Access to Information


The Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 provides the public with a general right of access to information held by public authorities. Water Companies are themselves obliged to comply with these Environmental Information Regulations.

The DWI provides a wealth of information on drinking water quality for England and Wales.  Most of the information requested is already publically available  through the website and published reports.
