Access to Information |
| On 1 January 2005, the Environmental Information Regulations
2004 and the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 came fully into force. These were
followed by the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations which came into effect on
1 July 2005. For further information about what these pieces of legislation mean, how to make a request and how your request will be handled, please visit the Defra Access to Information pages. It also describes the wide range of information which Defra already publishes and where to find it. Below are replies to requests for information from the Drinking Water Inspectorate that may be of wider interest to the public.
