Access to Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 provides the public with a general right of access to information held by public authorities. Water Companies are themselves obliged to comply with these Environmental Information Regulations.

The DWI provides a wealth of information on drinking water quality for England and Wales.  Most of the information requested is already publically available  through the website and published reports. 

Below are replies to requests for information from the Drinking Water Inspectorate that may be of wider interest to the public.
