Charging

Regulation 21 makes provisions for local authorities to charge fees for conducting certain duties under the Regulations. The local authority can only charge a fee which is the reasonable cost of carrying out the service (activity) up to a specified maximum. The maximum fees the local authority can charge are:

(1) No fee is payable where a sample is taken and analysed solely to confirm or clarify the results of the analysis of a previous sample.
