Dear Sir/Madam,
Monitoring Data Reporting Under The Water Supply (Water Quality) (Amendment Regulations) 1999 : Cryptosporidium in Water Supplies
Purpose
1. The purpose of this letter is to advise water companies of the requirements for submitting to the Drinking Water Inspectorate the results, in electronic form, of the monitoring of water supplies carried our in accordance with the Water Supply (Water Quality) (Amendment) Regulations 1999.
2. DWI Information letter 10/99 explained that a monthly summary of all results from each sampling point must be submitted to the Inspectorate within 15 days of the end of each calendar month. The submission of this data should be sent to the Document Controller (Cyrilla Sanni), Zone 2/F3, telephone 020 7944 5984. It also stated that the Inspectorate would issue details for the electronic submission of these data in due course. This information letter gives these details.
Data Format
3. The data must be submitted in Excel 97 in the format listed in annex 1. A model completed form is attached as annex 2. Electronic copies of the Excel spreadsheet can be obtained from the Inspectorate. Any company that cannot provide data in this format should contact Mitesh Raikundalia to discuss its difficulties. The laboratory ID code will be issued to approved laboratories when they are approved. The company ID code is the standard Inspectorate company identification. The sample point ID code will be agreed with companies on approval of the sampling point. The use of other formats may be possible, but prior approval must be obtained from the Inspectorate.
