GUIDANCE TO INSET APPOINTEES ON THEIR REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Purpose

  1. At the end of August 2002, the Inspectorate issued guidance to inset appointees and potential inset applicants on their regulatory responsibilities in terms of drinking water quality (Information Letter 11/2002). This guidance has recently been reviewed and revised to take account of changes in the regulatory regime.

  2. The purpose of this letter is to issue the revised guidance, which is attached. The guidance will also be available as a stand alone document on the DWI website (www.dwi.gov.uk).
