FURTHER UPDATE ON THE RESTRUCTURING OF THE DRINKING WATER INSPECTORATE
1. The
purpose of this letter is to provide a further update to the water industry on the
organisational changes that have taken place within the Inspectorate over recent months.
2. Claire
Jackson wrote to the industry on 7 September 2005 (Information Letter 13/2005) giving an
update on the restructuring of DWI. Since
then, three new Inspectors have joined the Inspectorate and taken responsibilities for
allocated water companies. The attached two
files shows the current Inspectorate structure and the structure of the Operations Group.
3. Copies
of this letter are being sent to Pamela Taylor, Chief Executive, Water UK; Richard Wood,
Water Supply and Regulation Division, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs;
