Dear Sir/Madam New Structure for the Drinking Water InspectoratePurposeFollowing on from Information Letter 03/2007, I am pleased to provide you with information about the Inspectorate’s new structure for the Operations team, which takes effect from 1 June 2007. DetailAnnex A to this letter provides details of the team structure, Annex B contains details of the cascade process to be used by companies when notifying events and Priority 1 cryptosporidium notifications. The first point of contact should be the Company’s nominated Operations Inspector. Annex C* to this letter contains the relevant contact details. . The new contact arrangements are effective from 1 June 2007. However, please note that, Shaun Jones will not be joining the Inspectorate until Monday, 4 June, therefore to allow him the opportunity to become familiar with the notification process I would be grateful if companies would not regard Shaun as part of the cascade process until Monday 11 June. Also, Laura Moss is currently on maternity leave and therefore should not be regarded as part of the cascade process until her return in early July 2007.
