The Chief Inspector’s Report
This report looks at drinking water quality at a national level from the perspective of the Chief Inspector of the Drinking Water Inspectorate. It is published each year around the end of June/ beginning of July and covers the previous calendar year.
There is a report for 7 regions in England and Wales and covers water quality testing and results, public confidence in drinking water, events and technical audit activity. It also contains a summary of all results of the water companies regulatory sampling programme and a list of all the cautions and prosecutions carried out by DWI.
