It is very rare for drinking water to cause illness. However, if you believe that you are being affected by your drinking water, you should consult your GP in the first instance and then your water company if you still have concerns.

The Drinking Water Inspectorate is unable to comment on health matters. Any queries should be directed to your GP or to the Department of Health.
